Season 12, Episode 8:
Season 12 finale.
I like the saying being said here of love is where life is and that is something I had always appreciated.
Tragedy struck with a couple when the pregnant wife is killed from it but fortunately the baby is delivered safely.
Glad that to know that Nonnatus House is safe with this season coming to an end.

2023 Christmas Special:
Sister Monica Joan was sure gloomy saying this would her last Christmas, the last on Earth.
Quite moving the case of Mr Sharma a former wartime airman fallen on hard times and living in a condemned basement dwelling.
To add to all this he has problematic health issues.

Season 13, Episode 1:
Season 13 opener.
Interesting arrival of four new trainee midwives.
Harrowing situation when an expectant mother about to give birth when her criminal husband with a gun turns up.
Also emotional when Sister Julienne is reunited with a young woman with cerebral palsy who she had delivered into the world.

Season 13, Episode 2:
Harrowing about an expectant mother being affected by mouldy conditions due to her being a cleaner.
Interesting how a certain situation led to Violet to decide to run for mayor.
Meanwhile Matthew gives Trixie a driving lesson which ends disastrously.
This leads to each of them to ask Fred to give Trixie's lessons but without each telling the other.
Funny when they both came clean (no pun on that other plotline here) about both asking Fred the driving lessons.

Season 13, Episode 3:
Violet runs for mayor but drops out when Fred falls seriously ill and on the verge of dying.
However Violet was persuaded to change her mind and is elected mayor and Fred makes a full recovery, therefore continues to live.
Moving on how all that played out.

Season 13, Episode 4:
The Apollo 11 Moon landing forms the backdrop of this episode.
In the midst of this backdrop comes a serious case of TB and a mistake that Trixie made that made her decide how to arrange her priorities much to the disappointment of Matthew.

Season 13, Episode 5:
A lovely excursion into the seaside turned into a little tragedy for May.
May fortunately survived but unfortunately led to questions whether Turners should continue to foster her from authorities concerned.
Also tragedy about a family with kids with eye cancers.

Season 13, Episode 6:
Sad about Matthew and Trixie as the former has lost his directorship with his company and is dependent on Trixie's job for their income.
Harrowing case about the woman with asbestos.
Rosalind and Joyce passed their final exams.
Interesting what cases they get from this point on.

Season 13, Episode 7:
Penultimate episode of season 13.
Joyce has an unexpected visitor who says he is her cousin.
When they are alone however it is revealed he is not Joyce's cousin but instead her estranged husband.
She walked out on him because he was violent on her.
That is a shocker and Joyce contemplates what to do about him.
Another shocker is the identity of expectant mother Alison's baby.
A similar theme to what went on with Alison was also explored in Death In Paradise 13.3 Serving Up Murder which was shown the week before.
The two series has been shown back to back since Death In Paradise season 13 opener ran alongside Call The Midwife 13.5.
However Call The Midwife took a week off when the said Death In Paradise 13.3 came on.

Season 13, Episode 8:
Miss Higgins is reunited with her long lost son. This is heartwarming until the son suddenly dies from a chronic kidney condition.
The Turners had some worries about May but turned out alright in the end.
The blackmail on Joyce is happily resolved as she continues work at Nonnatus House.
