Season 2, Episode 1: Quite intense situation with Jenny dealing with a woman in an abusive marriage. Quite tragic how this came to an for the woman. Also intense situation when delivering a baby in a cargo ship.

Season 2, Episode 2: Quite worrying for Cynthia when a newly born baby died under her watch, Quite a good send-off by singing for Chummy as she goes to Africa to do some missionary work. Jenny sure got a shock on finding out what Jimmy had been up to recently.

Season 2, Episode 3. Jenny sure showed good instincts when she reported on a surgeon even to the extent that the surgeon resolved this problem himself. Quite intense seeing both twins giving birth to their babies.

Season 2, Episode 5: Guest stars Sharon Small. Truly uncomfortable episode to watch regarding the Small character. The play of Robin Hood with all-school boys cast was basically the only thing that I could watch without any discomfort

Season 2 Episode 6: Antepenultimate episode of season 2. Moving story of Jenny encountering a dying pub and his estranged daughter with the daughter hiding her pregnancy from her work colleagues especially when the father got to hold his new grandchild just before he died.

Season 2, Episode 7: Penultimate episode of season 2. An unfortunate reminder of the existence of racism which existed in the 1950s and quite good the way the presentation of it in this episode.

Just learned that Jessica Raine has quite Call The Midwife as she made her final appearance in the season 3 finale and has left to pursue a career in Hollywood. Call The Midwife has already been renewed for a fourth season but since the series has been built on Jenny Lee’s (played here by Jessica Raine) memoirs it would be interesting to see where it will go without Jenny. With the departure of Jenny, does this mean that Call The Midwife would in effect become its own spin-off.

Season 3, Episode 7: Penultimate episode of season 3. Jenny returns to work and gets seconded to the London Hospital but does not like the regulations there as it hampers the amount of care that she can give to her patients. Quite good the self-discovery that she has made here as a result of her work at the hospital. Quite unfortunate that a new breakdown that a new mother has after giving birth to her baby and the electrical shock she is given. Chummy gets a less than a welcome visit from her mother. Quite shocking that was made about Dr Turner and in the circumstances in which they were made.
