Season 11, Episode 2: What a harrowing case about scabies. Also harrowing about the woman with cervical cancer. Definitely don't envy Lucille's case of a patient who has a social worker having an eye over her.

Season 11, Episode 3: Quite an unsettling tale about homelessness as we see one man in such a state especially how his body has been worsened by him drinking. Sister Julienne falls ill and asked Shelagh to take over organising the centenary century of the order's work in Poplar. Especially keen to find out the surprise that Shelagh had set up for this event.

Season 11, Episode 4: Quite disturbing about a struggling new mother including leaving her baby outside without her attendance. Harrowing on a patient's husband who has horrid memories of being in a Nazi concentration camp.

Season 11, Episode 5: Disturbing the case with a paraplegic patient and that he and his children suffered abuse from his wife. A couple of potential departures from the series with Phyllis taking a holiday after coming to a huge sum of money and Trixie having to leave to after her terminally ill godmother but would either or both of them come back.

Season 11, Episode 6: Matthew discovers a group of squatters in one of his warehouses including a pregnant woman. What a shocker with the baby that she gives birth to. Harrowing with the case of clairvoyant but happily she is reunited with her long lost son.

Season 11, Episode 7: Penultimate episode. This episode starts off with news that a certain act has passed the House of Commons. Very disappointed that Sister Frances says that this was good news. It is hard to comprehend why she said that as nuns, which Sister Frances is one, are not supposed to support what this act represent. This bit is a nonsensical piece of writing. Harrowing the case with the new teenage mother with her adjusting to her new situation being a mother. Got taken by surprise when Doctor Who turned up on the TV showing the title sequence. This marks Doctor Who's return to Call The Midwife as Doctor Who on television has previously been featured in 8.3. In 8.3 it was an episode of The Aztecs on the TV but for this episode 11.7 it is not known what episode came on as all is shown is the title sequence. 8.3 had Sister Monica Joan becoming an instant Doctor Who fan so it was no surprise that she is watching Doctor Who here in 11.7. Also watching Doctor Who are a couple of kids while the Doctor Who theme is briefly heard when Shelagh has a talk with Timmy. This talk came after Timmy had earlier told off his father Stephen with Shelagh telling Timmy that he should have talked his father like that. Unfortunately this unpleasant exchange between father and son became all the more sad as Dr Turner was later on a train when it made a horrific crash as a result of the train driver literally falling asleep. Also on this train were Sister Julienne and Nancy as the train was taking them to a conference. Nancy upon being invited by Sister Julienne didn't decide to go straightaway as the conference was on a Saturday and she spends her Saturday with her daughter. Sadly in retrospect she should have stuck with her original plans with her daughter at least she would experience this disaster. Nancy survives this crash but the episode ends with Dr Turner and Sister Julienne's fate uncertain as we last see them lying on the floor not knowing whether they are dead or alive.

Season 11, Season 8: Season 11 finale. Dr Turner and Sister Julienne survived the train crash. This is written by series creator Heidi Thomas and I only recently discovered she is married to Stephen McGann who plays Dr Turner. No doubt Thomas was very tempted in killing off her husband in the series. For her to kill her husband in this manner she would have gotten away with it. With the said survivors of this crash it was quite pleasant in the immediate aftermath and this atmosphere which ends this season.

2022 Christmas Special: Liz White makes her return here as Rhoda. As this is the 2022 Christmas Special of Call The Midwife, White's return here marks exactly ten years after she was in another Christmas Special that of Doctor Who's The Snowmen in 2012. Still is set in the aftermath of the train crash and everyone is trying to adjust this reality as much as possible. Quite tragic the case with Cindy, a pregnant woman who had been released from prison only to find herself and completely on her own. It certainly wasn't helped by a very unsympathetic landlady.

Season 12, Episode 1: Season 12 opener. A certain speech made by Enoch Powell rears its ugly head here. Quite disturbing the blatant racism that has been expressed here as a result of Powell's speech. A contentious point to this when Lucille walks out on a patient when the patient could not hide how much she agrees with Powell's viewpoint.

Season 12, Episode 2: With persistent problems Lucille has been having, this episode ultimately sees her packing her bags for a little trip to Jamaica with the intention of coming back to Poplar. There is a speculation that this Lucille might not come back at all and to be quite honest I would be happy if that was the case as I would very glad to see the back of Lucille and for that matter I would like for Cyril to join her in leaving as well.

Season 12, Episode 3: A harrowing case of a mother being raped by her husband and the police can't do anything about it because due to the law of the time, a rape within a marriage is rape that doesn't exist by legal definition. Quite outrageous this. In a case with another mother quite disturbing that the gender of a child makes a difference to his/her health due to a very unfortunate hereditary condition. Also Trixie holds a dinner party to test out her cooking skills and the results is not quite she expected.

Season 12, Episode 4: Phyllis has survived attempts to force her to retire as she passed retirement age. Frankly I would not mind if she goes. Harrowing on the maternity home being quarantined due to a certain outbreak. Also harrowing Reggie being worried that he does have much time left to live but worries turns out to be not as serious as he thought and that he is going to be alright.

Season 12, Episode 5: Matthew gets a visit from his father and quite sad that he suddenly passed just after the two had an argument together. Cyril is shocked to find out that Lucille has gotten a job for six months in Jamaica perhaps a strong indication that she won't be coming back to Poplar at all. Meanwhile the chairman of the board of health pays Nonnatus House and has given new edict of how things are going to be which is not exactly convenient to whom the edict is meant for.

Season 12, Episode 6: Antepenultimate episode of sesaon 12. Harrowing about a 15-year old mother who had just given birth and the fallout that came with it. Disturbing of how a paper boy got leukemia. Sister Monica Joan takes in a stray dog and the hilarity that about with this.

Season 12, Episode 7: Penultimate episode of season 12. Cyril comes back to Poplar but without Lucille, once again giving the indication that she won't be coming back. Quite sad that Sister Monica Joan has contracted hepatitis with grave fears for her. Matthew sure took a huge stand on Poplar's housing crisis at the council leading to Violet, a council member, suggesting that he stand for election to the council himself.
