The Inheritance: Season 3, Episode 4. Guest stars Cathryn Harrison and Cyril Cusack. What makes this episode such a curio is that it crosses over the legend of Robin Hood with that of the legend of King Arthur which is not I think something I have seen done elsewhere. At the beginning of the episode most of the band were relaxing in the sun and that was basically a good visual way to show the calm before the storm as the action later on was definitely worth it.

Earlier I mentioned that Robin Hood got represented in Once Upon a Time when the character first appeared there in 2.19 Lacey with him being played by Tom Ellis. Robin Hood then next appeared in the season 3 opener The Heart of the Truest Believer but the character is now played by Sean Maguire as Ellis was unavailable to reprise the character.

The Sheriff of Nottingham: Season 3, Episode 5. The Sheriff has been displaced and briefly becomes an ally of Robin and his band. Quite fun seeing the Sheriff losing his authority for this one episode and an interesting bit of Nasir’s history that got played out here.
In the DVD commentary of this episode, Mark Ryan (Nasir) made a funny remark of how he looked like a Dalek in one scene he was in.

The Cross of St Ciricus: Season 3, Episode 6. The band rescues Gisburne’s mother from her attackers and she reveals an interesting information about her son which I unfortunately I already knew about beforehand due to a DVD commentary on an earlier episode. Well acted episode especially on the way Robin’s reacts to the said information about Gisburne.

Once Upon a Time’s Robin Hood as played by Sean Maguire made an appearance in spin-off Once Upon A Time In Wonderland in 1.3 Forget Me Not which revealed a very interesting information about Will Scarlet!

Cromm Cruac: Season 3, Episode 7. Quite creepy episode which sees the return of an old enemy. Quite good presentation of how some of the band are experiencing an illusion.

Saw The Time Tunnel 1.16 The Revenge of Robin Hood which as it says in the title had a depiction of Robin Hood and is played here by Donald Harron. This episode of The Time Tunnel had Time Tunnelers Doug and Tony being incorporated with the Merry Men.

The Betrayal: Season 3, Episode 8. Written by Andrew McCulloch and John Flanagan. This episode has Phil Davis returning as John but who is King in this episode as he wasn’t the king in his previous appearances in the series. Coincidentally I am currently seeing Davis in a rewatch of Doctor Who 34.2 The Fires of Pompeii. Very surprised to see Matt Frewer here which involved him becoming a fake Robin Hood. McCulloch and Flanagan are a very enjoyable tale with this episode and it was quite fun when King John was chasing Marion.

Adam Bell: Season 3, Episode 9. A good performance by Bryan Marshall as the episode title character who is the leader of another group of outlaws. Bell and Robin sure came into conflict on what to do about the Sheriff’s nephew whom Bell had kidnapped. Quite amusing that in an early scene when the Sheriff showed just how much affection he has for his nephew.

Robin of Sherwood
The Pretender: Antepenultimate story. The casting for this episode is quite curious for Doctor Who fans as it guest starred First Doctor companion actor William Russell (Ian) as The Duke of Gloucester and Cory Pulman (later to play Ace’s grandmother Kathleen Dudman in The Curse of Fenric) as Queen Isabella. Reece Dinsdale is quite good as the episode title character and it wasn’t what he appear to be. Quite surprising what Queen Isabella did in one of her last scenes thanks very much to the performance of Cory Pulman.
Since watching this episode saw The Lego Movie which briefly had a depiction of Robin Hood.

Robin of Sherwood
Rutterkin: Penultimate story. Guest stars Ian Ogilvy as Lord Edgar, Robin’s villainous uncle. What is curious about this casting is that several years earlier Ogilvy had played Simon Templar in the Return of the Saint TV series and The Saint has been described as being like Robin Hood. So several years after playing Simon Templar, he in a way played The Saint’s uncle here. Ogilvy plays the villainous uncle very well here and also kudos to Annabel Lee as Mad Mab

Robin Hood: Prince of Sherwood: www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0DFH794Bc0Prince of Sherwood is a fan made Robin Hood movie made back in 1994. Quite enjoyable and for the production of its kind it was quite good the settings that got presented here.

Robin of Sherwood
The Time of the Wolf Part 1: Part 1 of the series finale. Pretty good opening part of the series finale which sees the return of Richard O’Brien as Gulnar. It looks like Gisburne has bolted from the Sheriff from the final time after the latter laid the blame on him for something that he knows full well that he didn’t do. Guess it was not so surprising where Gisburne decided to go next. Quite a good cliffhanger.

The movie Edge of Tomorrow feature two Robin Hood (2006-09) alums, Robin Hood himself Jonas Armstrong and Lara Pulver but they did not have anything to do with each other here.
