The Ark

Everyone Wanted to Be on This Ship:
Series opener.
The Ark should of interested to Stargate fans as it was created by Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner.

Devlin had co-written the original Stargate movie and Glassner is one person who brought Stargate to television starting with SG-1.

The said Ark is a spacecraft known as Ark One from 100 years in the future who suddenly have to become the best versions of themselves following on from a catastrophic event.

Not bad the premise but not sure it was well executed in starting off the series with performances felt more or less flat.

Like It Touched the Sun:
Episode 2.
A little better than the first episode and the main point of the source for the extra water.
Share the discomfort of the source of this water.

Get Out and Push:
Episode 3.
The episode title refers to the old situation of people getting out of a car when it is broken and pushing it in hopes it would make it work while the driver works at starting the engine.
Here instead of a car it is the Ark that needs to be working.
Not bad how this situation is resolved in the midst of the water crisis.

We Weren't Supposed to Be Awake:
Episode 4.
Shocking end with the discovery that the Ark wasn't attack by something natural in space but by a weapon, meaning someone or something deliberately shot at them.
Quite a eerie way to end this episode.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back:
Episode 5.
Unfortunately I know what that title means personally.
Not bad how this deals with the effects of a radiation leak.
Quite creepy the illusions that Cat got.

Two by Two:
Episode 6.
Not bad episode about locating a possible fuel source while showing Sanjivni in how she handles things but not in a good way.

A Slow Death Is Worse:
Episode 7.
Another Ark has been found but quite gruesome what is discovered especially when it hit close to home to one of the crewmembers of our Ark.

Every Single Person Matters:
Season 1, Episode 8.
A man by the name of William Trust and his wife Helena has awoken and they are met with hostility by people on board the Ark as William Trust is responsible for what has happened on the Ark.
The episode title sure make a point of what it says the title as the Trusts are people that also matter.
Interesting how this unfolded including showing William Trust not exactly being faithful in his marriage.

The Painful Way:
Season 1, Episode 9.
A coup engineered by the Trusts on the Ark.
Intense on how all this played including key personnel being drugged and then held in confinement in order for the coup to be carried out.
However this coup soon brought undone with those responsible for helping out in this coup but eventually regretted it facing the consequences of their part in it.
From the outset there was something shady about Kelly and this episode confirms it as she kills a crew member as he accidentally found something out and the episode ends with her taking hold of the Ark and in marking a shocking end for the episode she declared it for Ark 15!

Hoping for Forever:
Antepenultimate episode of season 1.
Quite tense that the hostage situation continues to unfold including meeting the villain in command of Ark 15 and interesting in discovering a planet that is described as an eyeball planet.
The eyeball planet gets its name because only one part of it is warm whilst the other part is cold.
I have a feeling the eyeball planet will play a significant part on how this season ends.

Meanwhile The Ark has been renewed for a second season.

The Last Thing You Ever Do:
Penultimate episode of season 1.
Quite a rescue that was made on the Ark 15 all but one got out of it.

Failed Experiment:
Season 2 opener.
The episode title refers to how Evelyn Maddox thinks of her daughter Kelly.
Pretty good opener in which the crew having to fight against Maddox and including getting defections from her ranks as well as determining where to go to from here on in.

Kill or Be Killed:
Season 2, Episode 2.
Kelly is placed on trial for murder.
Despite her defence established that it was a matter of her killing or being killed herself, Sharon as judge finds her guilty but does not apply the death penalty here and yet to determined what Kelly's sentence is.
Pretty good and quite harrowing see this trial of Kelly.

Anomaly:
Season 2, Episode 3.
Fascinating episode about deadly electricity and pretty good how this got dealt with.
Strickland has trust issues, in that he doesn't have any, with Joma.
However when Joma saved Strickland's life from the electricity creature, Strickland have her access to privileges but as it turned out he is right about her initially as she is plotting something against the crew.

The Other You:
Season 2, Episode 4.
The end of the previous episode Anomaly saw Brice literally disappeared.
In this episode not only does it addressed Brice's disappearance but also the reappearance of Cat only she is British not American.
It is revealed that this Cat is from a different reality which is where Brice disappeared to.
Fascinating episode in trying to get Brice and Cat back to their respective realities.
