Series finale.
When news of Atlantis' demise came I read that the final episode will end in a cliffhanger and to be continued in the first Atlantis movie.
However Enemy At The Gate does not end on a cliffhanger as everything is wrapped up nicely.
Amanda Tapping previously appeared in Atlantis in Search and Rescue the season 5 opener. Her appearance in Enemy At The Gate means she has book ended the fifth and final season.
A ship has been named after General Hammond acknowledging the fact the actor playing him Don S Davis had passed away six months before this episode's broadcast. Quite an appropriate tribute to him.
It was quite a surprise seeing Atlantis returning to Earth.
Very good when Atlantis fired at that Hive ship.
The final scene is a beautiful way to end the series.
