Michael O’Hare the original lead actor of Babylon 5 has passed away.
His passing was announced by Babylon 5 creator J Michael Straczynski on his facebook page.
Born on May 6 1952, O’Hare played Babylon 5’s original commander Jeffrey Sinclair in the first season. From the second season Commander Sinclair was replaced on Babylon 5 by Captain John Sheridan played by Bruce Boxleitner.
Michael O’Hare made two further appearances as Sinclair now an ambassador in The Coming of Shadows & War Without End with the latter revealing his final fate.
O’Hare’s other roles included an uncredited role in The Trial of the Incredible Hulk TV movie.
Michael O’Hare died on September 28 2012 at the age of 60 having succumbed to a heart attack.
