B7 Enterprises has announced a deal with Big Finish Productions to produced original audiobooks, performed by the original stars of the TV series, and novels. Big Finish launches their Blake’s 7 endeavours next year 2012. www.blakes7.com/index.php/2011/07/blakes-7-audiobook-deal/When Big Finish acquired the licence from the BBC to produce original Doctor Who audios in 1999 they also requested Blake’s 7 but were not able to get it due to dispute on who actually own the rights to Blake’s 7. So it has taken Big Finish 12 years after its request to the BBC to finally able to make their own Blake’s 7 audios. When Big Finish made their request to the BBC for Blake’s 7 their plan was to continue the series after the events of the series finale Blake. However the upcoming new audios to be released in 2012 has the title of The Liberator Chronicles which would suggest that they will take place during the first three seasons of the TV series.
