Young has a series of dreams in which the aliens who had infected Chloe demand that she be delivered to them. No matter how Young responds to the alien demands it always results in disaster for Destiny.
Eventually it was revealed to be simulations from Destiny herself warning about the possible dangers that is posed to her which has affected Young’s brainwaves in having the dreams.
This has been about the test of leadership about whether Young still having the ability to command the crew and the temptation presented to Scott in stepping up to the leadership in these circumstances which he ultimately refused.
It is too bad for Eli that the kiss from Ginn was a simulation and not real. I wouldn’t mind spending time with her.
