Lines of Communications is the penultmate episode of the second Big Finish Stargate season and last this season for SG-1. Starring Gary Jones as Walter Harriman and guest star Beth Chalmers as Major Gina Roberts. A couple of years after doing this, Chalmers played Seventh Doctor companion Raine Creevy for Big Finish. This makes her the third Doctor Who companion actor, albeit in her case retrospectively, to do Stargate SG-1 after Yee Jee Tso in the TV episode Absolute Power and Noel Clarke in a previous Big Finish SG-1, First Prime. Released in September 2009 and written by Luke Mansell. Set not long after season 10 and sometime early on Atlantis season 4. After many bit appearances as Walter in the TV series, Jones finally gets an episode in which he is the focus. Very fascinating as Walter recounts to Major Roberts an incident at the SGC in which he and Sgt Siler were alone at the control room. In the course of this Siler becomes unconscious and Walter is mistaken to be the antagonist in this situation. Very well done as Walter pleads in this past event how he is not bad guy here while at the same time tries to figure a solution to this on his own. Definitely a well done episode in which Jones finally gets to shine as Walter. Enjoyable interview with Jones which was dominated by how Walter got his name.
