Norman Hartley has passed away.
Hartley was in the Blake’s 7 episode Gold playing Captain Kennedy.
Hartley had also appeared in the Doctor Who stories The Time Meddler playing Ulf and in The Invasion playing Sergeant Peters.
Both stories were directed by Douglas Camfield.
Camfield had also cast Hartley outside Doctor Who including the Out of the Unknown episode The Last Lonely Man.
The Time Meddler starred William Hartnell as the First Doctor and Hartley previously worked with Hartnell in the first Carry On movie Carry On Sergeant in which Hartnell was the said sergeant.
Hartley’s other work included Adam Adamant Lives, Man In A Suitcase, Revenge of the Pink Panther, Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, The Secret Adversary, Dempsey and Makepeace & John and Yoko: A Love Story.
Hartley died on February 19 or 20 2020 at the age of 89.
