Beau Bridges played the President of the United States in the TV movie 10.5 (2004) and its sequel 10.5 Apocalypse (2006). In between the two 10.5 movies Beau Bridges became a regular cast member of Stargate SG-1 playing General Hank Landry but that did not stop him playing the US President there. In SG-1 10.13 The Road Not Taken (not episode 10.5 as that would have been fitting in this context) Sam accidentally travelled to an alternate universe in which as played by Beau Bridges, Hank Landry was the US President. The Road Not Taken was originally shown in January 2007 almost a year after 10.5 Apocalypse while SG-1 10.5 Uninvited was shown in August 2006 mere months after 10.5 Apocalypse.

Homeland 7.7 Andante marked Beau Bridges’ debut as US Vice President Ralph Warner. In this episode he has a conversation with President Elizabeth Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) including the possibility of whether he will be succeeding her as President any time soon which she says there isn’t. If Bridges becomes President in Homeland it will mark a return to the Oval Office for him as he was President before in other places.
Bridges was a regular in Stargate SG-1 as General Hank Landry and in one episode The Road Not Taken it takes place in an alternate universe where he as Landry is President. Bridges was also President in the TV movie 10.5 & its sequel 10.5 Apocalypse.
