Saw the TV movie Magic Beyond Words: The JK Rowling Story which looks at the life of Harry Potter author JK Rowling leading up to her success with Harry Potter and it had Stargate Atlantis alum Paul McGillion (who had played Dr Carson Beckett in Atlantis) playing her father Pete.
So this makes Dr Beckett the grandfather of Harry Potter!
