The Case Of The Burning Building: Series opener. Shirley Holmes is the great-great-niece of the famous Sherlock Holmes and this is her first case and she is a schoolgirl. Her first case is about a burning building and Bo Sawchuck, an ex-gang member and who would become her Watson is the suspect. Enjoyable case to showing Shirley's investigative skills and it guest stars Ryan Gosling as an antagonist.

The Case of the Ruby Ring: Season 1, Episode 2. Not bad as it looked at a school presidential candidate being attacked and I mean in a physical kind as well as the said Ruby Ring being stolen. In the end the perpetrator gets away with it, I presume for now, due to Shirley saving Bo from being framed for stealing the ring.

The Case Of The Liberated Beasts: Season 1, Episode 3. Shirley and Bo investigates that was sparked by a break-in of a pet store. This leads them to an animal liberation movement. Not a subject that I have particularly warmed to. At the conclusion of this case the proprietor of a vegan restaurant who was embroiled in this offered a month of free veggie burgers to Shirley and Bo as their reward but they politely declined. As much as I appreciate the importance of eating vegetables, eating a month of veggie burgers is way too much.

The Case of the Exact Change: Season 1, Episode 10. Not bad that it deals with the disappearance of Stink. Everyone thought that Stick, being the class clown, has pulled a practical joke with this disappearance. Everyone except Shirley and not bad revelation for this disappearance.

The Case of the Second Sight: Season 1 finale. Shirley investigates the said case at a performance of a local theatre production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and discovers that the lead actress, Rebecca Radcliff, is a jinx—or so the entire cast and crew believe. However interestingly it turns out to be an act of revenge on the said actress. Not bad way to end this season with Shirley still thinking of finding her mom.
