Robin of Sherwood
The Time of the Wolf Part 2: Series finale. While I saw this episode several weeks ago, the following remarks is deliberately timed to fellow Robin Hood narrative Doctor Who: Robot of Sherwood. Pretty good and somewhat sad ending to Robin of Sherwood. That doppelganger of Robin was quite creepy and his death, in which Marian thought he was the real Robin, led to her making a certain decision that ultimately presents a tragedy between her and the real Robin. A sombre note to end the series.

Saw Doctor Who’s take on Robin Hood, Robot of Sherwood and it is a top quality script from its writer Mark Gatiss in a terrific blend of Doctor Who and Robin Hood and it is truly worth two for the price of one.

Just finished the movie The Postman (1996) starring Kevin Costner as the titular postman. Five years before The Postman he played another titular character as Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves in 1991. Coincidentally finished seeing Costner as The Postman the day after seeing Tom Riley as Robin Hood in Doctor Who 38.3 Robot of Sherwood.

The Danger Mouse season 6 opener Once Upon A Time Slip had Danger Mouse and Penfold going back in time to 1215 and presented a twisted version of Robin Hood with Danger Mouse as Robin Hood, Penfold as Little John (quite literally little in Penfold’s case in contrast to the usual depiction of Little John) and Greenback as the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Alfred Hitchc(o)ck Presents 6.3 Very Moral Theft ends with Hitch reading a book in which he says the Sheriff of Nottingham finally caught Robin Hood and the charge was tax evasion. Robin Hood himself does not appear in the core of the episode but Hitch mentioning him is appropriate considering what Robin Hood stands for as it reflects with what it says in the episode title.

The penultimate episode of The Body Farm, You've Got Visitors provided a reunion with two Robin Hood (2006-09) alums with series regular Keith Allen (Sheriff of Nottingham) and guest star Jonas Armstrong (Robin Hood).
As DI Hale here, Allen is a man of the law just like he was in the said Robin Hood series and knowing the Robin Hood fact, the Armstrong character told Hale how to do his job, something Robin Hood would never tell the Sheriff of Nottingham to do as that was in no way in Robin's best interest.
Here Armstrong plays the son of a dead human rights lawyer (Tim McInnerny) and a human rights lawyer is kind of like a Robin Hood. So Armstrong got downgraded from Robin Hood to son of Robin Hood or a very good family resemblances of Robin Hoods.

The Adventures of Robin Hood: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_Robin_Hood_(TV_series)
This ran for four seasons between September 25 1955 March 1 1959.
This is the legendary series that starred Richard Greene as the title character.
The Coming of Robin Hood: Series opener. Good opener to the series with Robin of Locksley coming back to home to find that his land has been usurped from him. Pretty set-up of the series which eventually sees him joined the gang he known for. Coincidentally just as I began the series with this episode been seeing on DVD, Doctor Who's take on Robin Hood with Robot of Sherwood.
