Just found out that Robin Sachs has passed away.
Born on February 5 1951, Robin Sachs is the son of Leonard Sachs who was the third actor to play Borusa in the Doctor Who season 20 opener Arc of Infinity.
Robin himself would appear in the Whoniverse in the first episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day called The New World playing British Professor.
As well as the Whoniverse, Robin Sachs also appeared in the Star Trek, Babylon 5 and Buffy universes.
In Star Trek, he appeared in the Voyager episode The Void playing General Valen.
In Babylon 5, he played different characters across six episodes and then in the first post-TV series TV movie In The Beginning playing Coplann.
He is well known to Buffy fans when he played in four episodes of Buffy, Ethan Rayne, the nemesis of Giles played by fellow Whoniverse guest actor Tony Head.
Robin Sachs’ other roles included Vampire Circus (also featuring Romana II actor Lalla Ward), Henry VIII and His Six Wives, Upstairs, Downstairs co-created and starring Sara Kingdom actor Jean Marsh, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Galaxy Quest, Ocean’s Eleven, Alias & Castle.
